Cookie Settings
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use Caelen so we can make it better. We use them sparingly and only where they serve a clear purpose.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include session tokens that keep you authenticated, CSRF protection tokens, and cookies that remember your cookie consent preference.
- caelen_session— keeps you logged into your workspace. Expires after 30 days of inactivity.
- caelen_csrf— protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks. Session-scoped.
- caelen_consent— stores your cookie consent choices. Expires after 12 months.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use PostHog (self-hosted in the EU) to collect anonymized usage data. This helps us understand which features are most useful, where users get stuck, and how to improve the product. No data is shared with third-party ad networks.
- ph_*— PostHog analytics cookies. Used to identify unique sessions and track page views. Expires after 12 months.
You can opt out of analytics at any time by adjusting your preferences below or in your account settings.
Functional cookies (optional)
These cookies remember optional preferences such as your sidebar layout, theme choice, and notification settings. Disabling them means these preferences won't persist between sessions.
- caelen_prefs— stores UI preferences like column widths and view mode. Expires after 12 months.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share your data with ad networks, social media platforms, or data brokers. What happens in your workspace stays in your workspace.
Managing your preferences
You can manage cookie preferences in the following ways:
- In your account settingsunder Privacy & Data.
- Through your browser settings— most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break authentication.
- By using our contact page to request a full data audit.
Updates to this policy
If we introduce new cookies or change how we use existing ones, we will update this page and notify you via email or in-app banner before the changes take effect.
